Goodbye Jakob
This is a self-made video about ep2 and 8 of "Tales from the Loop", the story of Jacob, with the background music "The Scientist" by Coldplay.
"Tales from the Loop" is a science fiction drama television series developed and written by Nathaniel Halpern based on the art book of the same name by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag.
Ep2 and 8 is the story of Jacob, he and his best friend, Danny Jannson, discovered a strange spherical object in the woods of Mercer. After going inside they found that they had switched bodies. Jakob's consciousness was now inside the body of Danny, while Danny's was inside Jakob's. However, they the original body of Danny ending up in a coma and Jakob's consciousness being transferred inside a robot body, which is a sad ending.
The story had left me a strong impression and I started to think about science and time, even people working in the loop to study science, but still, they cannot change or even explain time.
It makes me think of the song "The Scientist" by Coldplay, which was telling the similar concept by reversing the story in the music video. Therefore, I tried to use this concept to make a music video for the story of Jacob, with "The Scientist" as background music.
